If you are trying to make sense of a piece of land — its drainage, its soil, its slope — before you commit to buying or building, you are welcome to reach out. I read every message myself.
My name is Arjun Mehta. For over ten years, I designed erosion control systems for highways, mine reclamation sites, and large infrastructure projects across India. That work taught me how water moves, how soil fails, and how small grading mistakes turn into foundation problems later. When I helped my own family evaluate a plot outside Pune that turned out to be sitting on an active drainage path, I realized something: the same principles I used on massive job sites were exactly what individual home builders needed — just scaled down and explained clearly.
That is why this site exists. The guides here are written to help you read the land before you buy it, so your home starts on solid ground, not on a future repair bill.
When it makes sense to contact me:
- You are evaluating a plot and unsure about slope stability, waterlogging, or soil quality.
- You need a practical, no-jargon explanation of drainage concepts for a residential site.
- You have read the guides and want to discuss how a principle applies to your specific piece of land.
- You are a homeowner or small builder dealing with erosion or runoff issues and want a direction to explore before calling contractors.
A few things to keep in mind:
- I do not sell geotextiles, construction materials, or any physical products. I will not pitch you anything.
- I am not a replacement for a local geotechnical engineer or soil testing lab. I can help you understand what to ask for and why it matters, but site-specific decisions need on-ground investigation.
- I answer emails personally, usually within two working days. If I am travelling or in the field, it may take a little longer.
You can write to me directly at [email protected]
If you would like to share photos of the land, a rough survey, or just describe what you are seeing on the ground, that often helps me give you a more useful reply.
I look forward to hearing about your project.
